1989: The Beginning

In 1989 a small group of 10 believers with a passion for souls and a heart for deliverance met in a tiny store-front building located in Oregon City, Oregon. The group soon grew to 100 as people responded to God's restoration message of goodness, healing, power, and abundance.  Then, only one year later the young church outgrew its surroundings and moved to a new location in Milwaukie, Oregon on Harrison street. That new church building only lasted a short while as people began to swarm every service and push attendance beyond the buildings' capacity.

Again, God found a new home for New Beginnings but this time in Portland, Oregon on 76th and Glisan street. Still, with a vision for future growth, a larger piece of acreage was purchased in East Multnomah County in 1995. 

Finally, during the summer of 2006, New Beginnings moved into its new 60,000 square foot facility built on 24 acres. This new location at 3300 NE 172nd Place in Portland, Oregon was truley another wonderful blessing from God.  Today, over two decades after that first tiny group met, thousands of people have found a new life in Jesus Christ. 

Those initial humble new beginnings have led us to become who we are today . . . New Beginnings Church!  Come visit us and become a part of Continuing The Legacy into the next generation.
